A report published this week by Man-Yee Kan, Muzhi Zhou, Ekaterina Hertog and Kamila Kolpashnikova has found that women are still carrying out most housework and childcare during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Whilst men may have increased their input in the home, so have women, meaning that the ‘gap’ has largely remained the same in terms of housework. Further, that the gender gap in terms of health and wellbeing has widened, with women and mothers having suffered a dramatic decline in these areas during the lockdown period.
