Zhuofei Lu is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Sociology, working on the 'GenTime' project (Principal Investigator: Professor Man-Yee Kan).
Before joining Oxford, Zhuofei pursued his PhD and Master's degree in Social Statistics at the University of Manchester from 2020 to 2024. He received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Marketing) in 2019 and a Master's degree in Communication in 2020 from the Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC).
His research interests include the gendered division of labour, time use patterns and wellbeing, as well as flexible working and gig economy. Zhuofei's works have been published in numerous reputable peer-reviewed journals, including Sociology (BSA), Social Science & Medicine, Social Indicators Research, and Applied Research in Quality of Life.
