Selçuk is an interdisciplinary researcher with a background in economics and PhD in social policy. His research is centred around the central questions of poverty, inequality and comparative social policy: how do we best measure poverty? How does inequality accumulate over the life course and transmit across generations? Which welfare systems best reduce poverty and inequality, and provide security for all?
