DPhil in Sociology

Supervisor: Christiaan Monden

I am a current DPhil student in Sociology funded by the Clarendon Fund and Nuffield College. My research focuses on how parents detect and react to early disadvantages suffered by their children, and how parental responses contribute (or not) to the intergenerational reproduction of inequalities.

Prior to joining Oxford, I completed a Masters in Research in Social Sciences at the Carlos III-Juan March Institute (IC3JM), where I held the Juan March Servera Scholarship. I also worked as a Research Assistant for the Effort and Social Inequality Research Project, and as a Teaching Assistant in the Social Sciences Department.

Research Interests: Social stratification, intergenerational transmission of (dis)advantages, and causal inference.
