HR Officer

Nealam Balu is the Department’s HR Officer. Nealam manages the day-to-day operation of the HR function of the Department and provides HR advice to Principal Investigators (PIs), line managers and staff.

She works closely with the Department’s Head of Administration and Finance on HR related projects, providing personnel support to implement and maintain a range of processes, and provides support to the Head of Department in taking forward new initiatives. She also provides advice and support to the Equality & Diversity Committee or working groups in implementing, and tracking progress against, the Athena SWAN SMART action plan.
