Lisa Atfield is a DPhil student in Sociology, focusing on migration, integration, and intergroup relations. With an interdisciplinary background that includes a BA in Russian and History from University College London, an MSc in Public Health from King’s College London, and an MSc in International Development from SOAS, Lisa brings diverse academic perspectives to her research. She also has experience working in communications and advocacy across the private and non-profit sectors.
Lisa’s DPhil research examines how social groups navigate identity and belonging in multicultural European contexts. Through qualitative methods, her work aims to contribute to discussions on integration and social cohesion, offering a more nuanced and inclusive perspective on identity in diverse societies.
