He has published extensively in top journals such as Demography, Population and Development Review, International Migration Review, and Journal of the Royal Statistical Society.
Francesco has been invited to speak at leading research institutions across Europe and beyond, and he has received research funding from bodies such as the British Academy, the John Fell Fund, and the ESRC. He is also active in academic service, having served on the Steering Committee of the Department of Sociology at Oxford and as a reviewer for numerous international journals and funding agencies.
