Aasif Jamal is the Research Grants Officer. He also serves as Secretary to the Departmental Research Ethics Committee. Working with the Research Facilitator, Aasif provides post-award support to PIs managing their research funding.
His role involves setting up new projects, managing financial monitoring and reporting for a portfolio of grants, ensuring compliance with funder regulations, and preparing final reports when projects close.
Prior to joining the Department in 2025, Aasif held a Research Accountant role at the University of Bristol and before that worked as a Finance Administrator at the University of Nottingham. He holds an MSc in Finance and Investment and is Part-Qualified ACCA.
