Rebecca W. Y. Wong wins the 2020 Asian Criminological Society Distinguished Book Award

Former Oxford Sociology DPhil student Rebecca Wong has been awarded the 2020 ACS Distinguished Book Award for her work "The Illegal Wildlife Trade in China: Understanding the Distribution Networks", Palgrave (2019).

The book offers a theoretically-based study on crimes against protected wildlife in mainland China with first-hand empirical data collected over five years. It provides an overall examination of crimes against protected and endangered wildlife and an extensive account of the situation in China, where a significant portion of the illegal wildlife trade is currently happening.

Full details of Rebecca W. Y. Wong's book can be found on the Palgrave website.
