Raheel Dhattiwala

Visiting Research Fellow, Department of Sociology and Nuffield College

Raheel Dhattiwala is a visiting research fellow at Nuffield College, University of Oxford. She holds master’s and doctoral degrees in Sociology from Oxford. Her core research interest is the study of ethnic riots and pogroms in South Asia, especially the role of geographic space on the decision-making processes of rioters and peacekeepers during violence and the nature of their relations, as neighbours, in the aftermath. Formerly, Raheel worked as a senior journalist with the Times of India in Ahmedabad, India.
