Postdoctoral Researcher

My research is primarily directed at understanding the mechanisms of social stratification related to the criminal justice system. Currently, I am conducting an audit study on the stigma a criminal record in the UK. My previous research focused on the effects of collateral consequences of convictions in the labour market.

I have also investigated/published on other topics, such as the use of temporary release in Spanish prisons, the effects of sentences on re-offending related to intimate partner violence (IPV) crimes and the stigma of police officers in the US.

I am a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Sociology in the University of Oxford and a Non-Stipendiary Fellow at Nuffield College. Previously, I received a PhD in Law (Criminology) from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). I also hold the MSc "Sociology of Crime, Control and Globalisation" by the London School of Economics (LSE) and an MSc on Social Research Methods.

Research Areas: Criminology, Quantitative methods, Collateral Consequences of Convictions, Criminal Records, Stigma.

Teaching Fellow in the Statistical Methods course.
