Congratulations to Dr Heather Hamill and Dr Kate Hampshire (Department of Anthropology, University of Durham) who have just been awarded a Wellcome Trust Seed Grant. The title of their project is 'Trust, risk and uncertainty in medicinal transactions in Sub-Saharan Africa: Integrating Behavioural Game Theory and Ethnography to develop a robust analytical framework to address a major global public health challenge.

Dr Rebecca Wong has just published a paper on "The Illegal Tiger Trade in China" in The British Journal of Criminology. The paper uncovers criminal networks of smugglers in three cities of China, and reconstructs their structure. Dr Wong obtained her D.Phil in the Department in 2013. The paper is based on her doctoral work.
