Divorce falls to lowest levels for 45 years

Professor Christiaan Monden speaks to the Financial Times about changes in the patterns of marriage and divorce.

The decline is due to fewer marriages, but also the rate of divorce is the lowest since the Divorce Reform Act came into force. The average length of marriages is also the second highest on record (after 1972).
