Dr David Stuckler joins the department

The Department of Sociology is very pleased to welcome two new staff members: Dr David Stuckler, an internationally renowned expert in global health and Dr Aaron Reeves, postdoctoral researcher with particular interests in public health, physical activity and social stratification.

The Department of Sociology is very pleased to welcome two new staff members:

Dr David Stuckler is an internationally renowned expert in global health. Previously a University Lecturer at the University of Cambridge, David joins us as a Senior Research Leader within the department. He is also a member of the Associate Faculty of Johns Hopkins University, an Associate Fellow of Chatham House (Centre on Global Health Security), and a Visiting Senior Research Fellow, South Asia Network for Chronic Disease. David has previously held positions as Honorary Research Fellow, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and Assistant Professor of Political Economy at Harvard University.

Dr Aaron Reeves joins the department as part of David Stuckler's research teams. Aaron is a postdoctoral researcher with particular interests in public health, physical activity and social stratification. His previous posts include adjunct lectureships at the universities of Cambridge and Essex, and a research assistant post at Essex, where he held a Royal Academy Fellowship, working with Dr David Pevalin.
