Department awarded two Teaching Excellence Awards

The University of Oxford launched its Teaching Excellence Awards Scheme in 2006, and these are awarded to staff who improve the student experience in many ways, from academic content to library and technical support.

The University of Oxford launched its Teaching Excellence Awards Scheme in 2006, and these are awarded to staff who improve the student experience in many ways, from academic content to library and technical support.

This year Professor Francesco Billari, Dr Heather Hamill and Dr Christiaan Monden were all recipients of awards, conferred by a divisional panel who made five awards in the Social Sciences. Sociology received two awards out of the five: Francesco Billari and Christiaan Monden for their project to configure a joint MPhil programme in Sociology and Demography, and Heather Hamill as project lead on Research Data Management Training in the Social Sciences.
